BLUE GREEN
I know rain will come
but I couldn't tell you when that will be
I hear people talk
doesn't mean much of anything
through my blue eyes
I see green
broke-in cowboy boots
with your hounds wrapped 'round your wrist
toast with plastic flutes
and an ice cube in your fist
through my blue eyes
I see green
wait in autumn leaves
baby I got two trumpets in my heart
some things just meant to be
we maybe never really meant to start
through my blue eyes
I see green
we will find our stretch of coast
north of Cambria just before the climb
in a thrown carved out of tree
I would again ask you to be mine
through my blue eyes
I see green
the train is bound to come
come to take us for a ride
over ample hills
and under sky so wide
through my blue eyes
I see green
